This announcement was made after AP’s partner, M. Danial, S.H., was appointed as member of the Partnership and Campaign Section of the Peradi Legal Aid Center of Central Jakarta. The appointment was held at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel on Friday, 05 July 2019.
M. Danial of AP succeeded in obtaining police release on bail for Eggi Sudjana
Our firm’s partner and head of the litigation department, M. Danial, succeeded in obtaining police release on bail for Indonesia’s activist and senior lawyer, Mr. Eggi Sudjana. The senior lawyer who is also a member of the campaign team of the presidential candidate pair, Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno, made media attention due to comments he made to supporters outside Prabowo’s residence in South Jakarta on election day. As a result, police investigation was carried out on 13 May 2019 and on the same day arrest warrant was handed to Eggi thus prohibiting him from leaving the premises for the next 24 hours. Many legal practitioners saw this as an improper application of law. AP’s M. Danial was lined up with team of Indonesian senior lawyers to provide professional legal assistance to Eggi from the very beginning. Efforts were fruitful as Eggi was released by the police on bail (penangguhan penahanan) on 24 June 2019.
AP clarified on data discrepancy of an Indonesian Migrant Worker in Hong Kong
AP assisted an Indonesian Migrant Worker who had issues with regard to her date of birth reported by the MoM of Singapore at the time she was working in Hong Kong. She was accused to have 2 (two) different date of births in her passport i.e. year 1977 when working as a migrant worker in Singapore and 1982 when working in Hong Kong. AP responded to this case by requesting the Ministry of Laws and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia to issue a clarification letter to the discrepancy by asserting demographic data of the worker to counter these allegations.

AP successfully verified a total of Rp. 5,7b bankruptcy claim against Pandawa Mandiri Group
AP successfully assisted 35 creditors in verifying a total claim of Rp. 5,7 billion against a saving and loan cooperative, Pandawa Mandiri Group (PMG). In brief, the cooperative promised a profit of more than 10 percent to its so-called “members”, “leaders” “Gold” and “Diamond” investors. Each “leader” was promised a profit of 20 percent of the customer's investment. The investment model was such an attraction to the public hence reaching a total investment of Rp. 3.3 trillion. PMG went financially distressed as it failed to share profit to its investors. PMG went bankrupt with a total claim value verified Rp. 3,32 trillion consisting of 39,068 total creditors.
